WTF is ‘Medium Energy’?
To go deeper into this idea… Medium Energy is a mantra for survival and human flourishing in the age of exponential tech. It’s my simple reminder of how to wrestle with the realities of a rapidly changing world; which often depends on our ability to manage cognitive dissonance, i.e. the ability to hold two opposing ideas in your mind at the same time; two things that are contradictory but both true.
Such is the nature of technology. It’s not neutral. It has consequences in both directions and our success lies in finding that healthy tension between its pros & cons.
That healthy tension is Medium Energy.
If you want to go deeper… Medium Energy also represents the peace in balancing discipline and surrender, ot the wholeness between the poetic and the empirical.
It’s also a reflection of the nature of reality. Such as how light can be both a particle and a wave… or how emergence in complex systems stems from that perfect balance between chaos & order
Yes, when you look close enough, Medium Energy appears everywhere, on just about every plan of existence. And this is my quest to explore them all…
